How the service-provider marketplace works
Every vendor who quotes for a claim — glass fitter, panel beater, tow operator, medical responder, assessor, salvage yard, attorney — uses the same profile, the same portal and the same inbox. This page is the single source of truth.
Step 1
One door for every vendor
Sign up as Service provider. You'll land on your profile and fill it in once: the kinds you offer (multi-select — glass, towing, paint, mechanical, legal, etc.), the regions you cover, your hours of operation, your banking details, and your compliance documents (public liability, tax clearance, COIDA). There is no separate signup for "roadside" vs "panel beater" vs "attorney" — they're all kinds on one profile.
Step 2
Get verified
Your KYC meter shows what's still missing. Once it's 100% complete, a ClaimBeacon admin reviews your documents and marks you as Verified. Verified providers wear a badge in the marketplace and rank higher in insurer/broker searches.
Step 3
Join networks
Two ways to end up on an insurer's or broker's panel:
- They invite you after finding you in the marketplace.
- You request access from your Networks page — they accept or decline.
Step 4
Quote on work
Two ways an RFQ lands in your My quotes inbox:
- Direct — an insurer or broker explicitly routes a claim to you.
- Bulletin — you spot an open job in the bulletin, click "Accept / Quote", and the system creates the RFQ for you behind the scenes.
Step 5
Win and deliver
When the insurer accepts your quote, an assignment is created, you're added to the claim's chat thread (so insurer, broker, you and — via the portal — the claimant can all talk in one place), and the claimant's status page shows your name, ETA and progress. You update the assignment status as you work: in progress → completed.
Step 6
Get paid, pay 1%
On completion, the accepted-quote total is what the insurer pays out (per their own approval rules). ClaimBeacon accrues a 1% marketplace fee against your tenant — visible in Earnings. We invoice that monthly to the banking details on your profile. No fee for direct-panel work that didn't come through the marketplace.
No separate "roadside provider". If you're a tow operator, tick towing (and usually roadside) on your profile. You're still the same kind of user as a glass fitter or attorney — same portal, same inbox, same earnings ledger. The legacy roadside-only signup has been retired.
